You will also find the Low Gap At shelter and Overmountain Shelter on the trail. You can take in the stunning view of the valley from here. The Appalachian Trail's appeal is not limited to hikers.

Amazing views can be enjoyed from the AT. You can hike to the summit to see the historic steel fire tower. The trip is a challenging four-miler. The Tellico Gap to Wesser Bald is another popular hike in Franklin. From atop the mountain, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the area. This beautiful scenic walk is especially stunning in autumn when the leaves begin to turn red.

A trip to Appalachian Mountains can prove rewarding. The Appalachian Mountains can be found among the highest peaks of the eastern United States.
